The Diamond is Richmond's baseball stadium, a stone's throw from the vibrant Scott's Addition neighborhood and home to the beloved Flying Squirrels. This summer, the 12,000-seat stadium is hosting Movies in the Outfield, an evening movie series during which attendees can view the big screen from the lower bowl of the stadium or from the field itself. Upcoming movies include Wicked on August 8 and Field of Dreams on September 5. Tickets are just $10, and the Diamond is conveniently located to many Richmond homes for sale.

A picturesque working farm and event venue in the rolling countryside north of Richmond, Pactamere Farm hosts a wide range of fun happenings, like painting and candle-making classes, private birthday parties and goat yoga. Located minutes from these Glen Allen homes for sale, the 16-acre farm also offers Movie Nights Under the Stars twice each month from June through October. Guests are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy family-friendly movies like Mufasa: The Lion King on June 21 and Snow White (2025) on July 19. The 2025 season has begun at the Goochland Drive-In, a classic old-fashioned drive-in movie theater near Richmond. Movies are shown rain or shine every Thursday through Sunday, with titles announced seven days in advance. The theater is known for showing the latest family-friendly blockbusters, and attendance is just $28 per vehicle (up to seven people). The theater is convenient to many Goochland homes for sale, with gates opening at 6:15 pm and movies starting at 8:20. The drive-in has been open since 2009, offering a retro vibe with state-of-the-art projection and sound, plus a great snack bar.

Every summer, Richmond's First Baptist Church hosts outdoor movie nights in its beautiful courtyard. This year's Movies in the Courtyard are scheduled for July 25 and August 21 at 8 pm, with titles yet to be announced. These are just a few of the outdoor events the church hosts throughout the warmer months, along with a summer block party on June 18 and an outdoor summer concert on August 26. There's always something going on at Agecroft Hall & Gardens, a historic home and grounds overlooking the James River just west of Downtown Richmond.
